Founder Consulting — Queue & Priority Service

The FREE W³ Cubed™ Startup Action Plan Workbook — From Point A to Ready for Prime Time™ — provides the startup execution methodology, while AI Arsenal™ Lite is a separate 50-workflow companion still undergoing certification and available only for advance reservation. When mission-critical driving assumptions or consequential decisions justify independent executive judgment, my limited Founder Slots provide direct access to me and the Compound Knowledge™ I have accumulated during more than four and a half decades of building, financing and operating companies.

I personally perform the consulting work; your company is not handed off to a junior consultant, offshore production team or anonymous analyst. Because I am transitioning toward retirement from consulting to focus on publishing, I may accept Founder Slots for up to a maximum of 100 entrepreneurs and may close the opportunity earlier. Standard, Priority and Top Priority provide exactly the same experienced judgment; only the order in which ready assignments receive attention differs.

Standard • Priority • Top Priority
Same consultant. Same professional judgment. Different scheduling priority.

Before Paying for Consulting, Start With the FREE W³ Cubed™ Workbook

I created the FREE W³ Cubed™ Startup Action Plan Workbook — From Point A to Ready for Prime Time™ — as a practical, continually updated working reference for founders. The evolving edition exceeds 370+ pages; the existing download redirect remains available and may temporarily serve an earlier released edition while a newer version is prepared. Do NOT read the Workbook cover to cover. Open its Table of Contents, go directly to the most urgent issue and use the WHO + WHAT + WHEN methodology to identify responsibilities, deadlines, dependencies and evidence.

The complete FREE Workbook includes 216 Action Items, 52 Milestones, nine coordinated Action Plans with Gantt charts, four Go/No-Go Gates and practical tools for challenging mission-critical assumptions, identifying costly dependencies, comparing WHO candidates and deciding when a company is prepared to proceed. The full methodology is free; there is no separate paid W³ Cubed™ Pro Workbook.

AI Arsenal™ Lite is a separate, unreleased optional companion: 50 guided workflows being tested and certified through Show → Explain → Interview → Deliver, including worked fictional samples and editable example outputs before personalized founder interviews. Eligible advance reservations are open; the first 100 qualify for the package free at release, the next 100 for an optional $9.95 purchase and subsequent reservations for an optional $19.95 purchase. There is no payment or purchase obligation to reserve. Doing as much useful production work as you can yourself lets you consider consulting for decisions where experienced outside judgment may have the highest value.

Where My Consulting Time Can Make the Biggest Difference

The most valuable consulting assignment may not be producing another business plan, spreadsheet or report. The FREE W³ Cubed™ Workbook can help identify the work, and AI can assist with first-pass production. The consequential question is whether the driving assumptions behind a polished document or mathematically correct spreadsheet are sound. What if the most expensive, catastrophic mistakes your startup will ever make are already in your mission-critical spreadsheet – even when every formula is 100% correct?

Driving-Assumption Stress Tests

A founder may forecast 15% monthly revenue growth, assume a key employee can be recruited in six weeks or schedule a product launch on a date nobody has validated. I can help examine what evidence supports those assumptions, whether the people choosing them have relevant experience and how a single incorrect input may change payroll, runway, customer acquisition costs, launch readiness and the maximum cash deficit.

Financial Runway & Capital Requirements

A spreadsheet may calculate projected cash burn correctly while overlooking an unrealistic customer acquisition schedule, a major working-capital requirement or an operating expense the founder has not considered. Experienced review can help identify those weaknesses before they become expensive surprises.

Go/No-Go Milestones

Before making an irreversible commitment, such as signing a lease, purchasing equipment, hiring a senior executive or beginning an expensive product launch, a founder may benefit from an independent assessment of what has actually been established and what remains uncertain.

Fundraising Readiness

A compelling investor presentation is not enough if the underlying business model, financial assumptions, milestones or management capabilities are unconvincing. I can help examine readiness and identify issues that may deserve attention before approaching financing sources. No financing or investor introduction is guaranteed.

Unexpected Problems & High-Stakes Decisions

Startup companies rarely unfold exactly according to plan. The value of Compound Knowledge™ is often greatest when a founder encounters a problem, dependency or second-order consequence that was not obvious at the beginning and must decide what to do next.

Why Is There a Consulting Queue?

There is one fundamental reason: when you hire me, you work directly with me. After more than four and a half decades of starting companies, raising capital and mentoring founders, I am semi-retired. My primary professional focus is now the Five Year Life™ publishing program, and I have deliberately limited my consulting availability.

Consulting assignments do not arrive or progress in predictable one-hour packages. One W³ Cubed™ founder may submit financial projections requiring several hours of review, while another returns revised assumptions, a third approaches a Go/No-Go milestone, and a fourth faces a significant funding or operating decision. Assignments may pause pending documents or decisions and become ready again only when those materials arrive.

The queue is my method for allocating that finite consulting time fairly without pretending that I can manufacture unlimited hours or promise completion dates that depend on facts neither of us can know in advance.

Why Consulting Availability Is Deliberately Limited

I am offering Founder Slots for up to a maximum of 100 entrepreneurs across all consulting service levels as I transition toward retirement from consulting and concentrate on publishing. This is a ceiling, not a promise to accept 100 founders, and the opportunity may close sooner — perhaps after 30–40 accepted founders or fewer — according to my available time and publishing obligations.

A Founder Slot counts an accepted entrepreneur, not a prepaid ten-hour block. An approved founder may request additional consulting time, subject to separate acceptance, payment, availability and a current signed Statement of Work; another block does not create a second Founder Slot. Acceptance never guarantees simultaneous or immediate service, and queue position and work readiness continue to govern scheduling.

Every new Founder Slot remains subject to my personal acceptance, current availability and an applicable signed Statement of Work before work begins. Prospective clients should confirm availability and review and sign the agreement before paying; a payment link does not by itself guarantee acceptance, a particular queue position or an immediate starting date. Existing clients may have separate agreements.

The Three Consulting Service Levels

All three levels provide the same direct access to me and the same quality of executive judgment. The difference is the scheduling position assigned to work that is ready for my attention. Higher pricing compensates for moving your assignment ahead of work belonging to clients at lower service levels, not for a better or more complete version of my professional experience.

Standard Service
$2,500
10 Consulting Hours • only $250 per hour

At only $2,500 for ten hours and only $250 per hour, Standard will generally be appropriate for accepted W³ Cubed™ Founder Slot clients who want experienced review of plans, mission-critical assumptions or business decisions without paying extra for scheduling precedence.

Ready Standard assignments are generally handled First In / First Out within the Standard queue, after ready Top Priority and Priority work has been serviced. Work already underway may be paused when higher-priority assignments become ready.

Priority Service
$3,750
10 Consulting Hours • $375 Per Hour

Priority is intended for situations where timing has sufficient business value to justify paying more for calendar precedence. A founder might be approaching a significant Go/No-Go decision, evaluating an important financing or hiring commitment, or trying to resolve a time-sensitive business issue before its consequences become more expensive.

Ready Priority work is handled ahead of Standard work under a separate First In / First Out queue. Priority does not automatically move one Priority client ahead of another, and all Priority work remains subordinate to the single active Top Priority client.

Top Priority Service
$5,000
10 Consulting Hours • $500 Per Hour

Top Priority provides the highest scheduling position available. Ready work for the single active Top Priority client is handled ahead of both the Priority and Standard queues, although that precedence does not guarantee instantaneous availability, continuous work regardless of circumstances or completion by a particular date.

There can be only one active Top Priority client at a time. If that position is occupied, another prospective client cannot purchase it until the position becomes available.

The restriction is intentional. Offering multiple simultaneous Top Priority positions would undermine the meaning of the service level and create another queue under a more impressive name.

Before Choosing a Service Level, Understand How Interruptions Work

Being first in the Standard queue does not guarantee that I will work continuously on your assignment from the moment I begin until it is completed.

If I am working on a Standard client’s financial model, business plan or Go/No-Go analysis and ready Priority or Top Priority work arrives, I may temporarily pause the Standard assignment at the next practical stopping point. I preserve the work completed so far, address the higher-priority work and subsequently return to the Standard assignment from where I stopped.

If additional higher-priority assignments become ready, Standard work may be interrupted again. Standard Service therefore means First In / First Out within the Standard queue, not uninterrupted access to my consulting calendar.

Priority Service functions similarly: Priority work is ahead of Standard, but the single active Top Priority client remains ahead of the Priority queue. Consequently, work already underway for a Priority client may be temporarily interrupted when ready Top Priority work requires my attention.

Top Priority is the only consulting tier that cannot be displaced by another client’s higher service tier. Even so, practical work requirements, previously scheduled commitments, availability and the need for client-provided information may affect when and how work proceeds.

The Basic Scheduling Rule: First In / First Out

Within the Standard queue, ready work is generally handled in the order in which it becomes ready. The same First In / First Out principle applies within the Priority queue, so one Priority client does not automatically move ahead of another because of repeated emails, greater persistence or a belief that the assignment is more important.

The hierarchy is straightforward: Top Priority first → Priority FIFO second → Standard FIFO third. The hierarchy applies to work that is actually ready for my attention, not to tasks waiting for missing information or decisions that must come from the client.

The Queue Is Dynamic — Not a Permanent Place in Line

Your place in a queue determines how ready work is prioritized. It does not reserve an uninterrupted block of calendar time. Startup consulting often involves an exchange of materials and decisions: a founder submits an initial financial model, I identify additional questions, the founder returns revised assumptions, and further analysis becomes possible.

As those materials arrive, assignments become ready at different times. The queues therefore adjust to the work actually available for review while preserving the published service-tier hierarchy.

A Realistic W³ Cubed™ Founder Slot Scheduling Example

Suppose I have spent two hours reviewing the cash-flow projections of a Standard client who is using W³ Cubed™ to plan a new business. We have identified several possible inconsistencies in customer acquisition costs and the timing of operating expenses, and I am preparing recommendations for further testing.

A Priority client then returns revised hiring assumptions and financial schedules that require immediate review before an important commitment. At the next practical stopping point, I preserve the Standard client’s work and move to the ready Priority assignment.

While I am reviewing the Priority client’s materials, my single Top Priority client encounters a time-sensitive financing decision and supplies information ready for analysis. That Top Priority assignment moves ahead of the Priority work.

Once the ready Top Priority work has been handled, I return to the Priority queue. After the ready Priority assignments have been handled, I return to the Standard queue and resume the original financial model from where I stopped.

That sequence is not an exception to the service policy. It illustrates how the queue system is designed to operate.

What Does the Priority Premium Actually Buy?

Scheduling precedence. It does not purchase a better version of my judgment, unlock a separate level of analysis or grant access to a different consultant. Every service tier provides access to the same decades of practical business experience and the same Compound Knowledge™.

The additional price compensates for the scheduling consequence of placing your ready work ahead of other clients whose work may be waiting or already underway. Founders should purchase a higher tier only when that precedence has sufficient practical value to justify the cost.

Every Consulting Level Uses a Prepaid Ten-Hour Block

After a Founder Slot has been accepted and the applicable Statement of Work signed, each consulting service level uses a prepaid ten-hour block. This provides flexibility to work on consequential questions rather than treating consulting as a series of scheduled calls. Depending on the assignment, time may be spent reviewing materials, researching alternatives, checking calculations, testing assumptions, examining revisions or preparing recommendations.

The current Statement of Work provides for Standard Service billing in quarter-hour increments. Billable work may include meetings, calls, email, document review, research, analysis, reporting, correspondence and other authorized consulting activities. The applicable agreement governs the particular engagement, including billing increments and any service-specific terms.

When a funded ten-hour block is exhausted, work stops unless additional consulting time is separately authorized under the applicable terms and availability. A returning client may request another block without occupying another Founder Slot; additional blocks are not guaranteed. There is no obligation to purchase additional consulting time. Unused hours and the retainer expiration are governed by the signed Statement of Work.

Get More Value From Your Consulting Hours

One of the best ways to use consulting economically is to complete as much preparation as possible. The FREE W³ Cubed™ Workbook can help you locate the relevant Action Item, Milestone or decision gate. When it is certified and released, AI Arsenal™ Lite may assist with producing first-pass analyses and documents, but you do not need to wait for Lite to be released before requesting a Founder Slot. Better organized materials allow us to focus on the consequential questions rather than reconstructing basic facts.

Useful preparation may include a concise description of the decision, the important assumptions driving it, the options being considered, your most recent financial projections, the evidence supporting your expectations and the consequences you are most concerned about if those assumptions prove wrong.

You do not need to have perfect documents before asking for help. The purpose of preparation is to make the use of limited consulting time more focused, not to create another barrier between a founder and the assistance that may be needed.

Your Response Time Also Affects the Schedule

A queue can determine when I work on material that is ready, but it cannot supply information the client has not yet provided. If I need revised financial assumptions, answers to specific questions, contracts, supporting evidence or other information before proceeding responsibly, that portion of the work must pause until the necessary materials arrive.

Completion time consequently depends on both of us, as well as the complexity of the assignment, the number of revisions, unforeseen developments and the service tier selected.

Why I Do Not Promise Artificial Completion Dates

Consulting is not an assembly line. The applicable Statement of Work does not guarantee a precise completion date or interim milestone because the time required may depend on complexity, client-provided information, revision cycles, changing priorities, the readiness of work already in the queues and the service level selected.

I would rather explain those scheduling realities before you hire me than provide an attractive date that cannot responsibly be guaranteed. Priority changes the order of attention, but does not eliminate the work or uncertainty involved.

Can I Upgrade Service After Work Has Started?

A client may request an increased service level after work has begun, subject to availability and agreement by CEO RESOURCE LLC. The applicable premium pricing then continues for the duration of that work under the agreed terms.

Top Priority can be selected only if the single Top Priority position is available. An upgrade request does not automatically override an existing client’s contractual rights or the published queue hierarchy.

Which Service Level Should an Accepted Founder Slot Client Choose?

Choose Standard if you want experienced review or advice but the assignment does not justify paying a premium for calendar precedence. Standard will generally be appropriate for planned reviews of business models, financial assumptions, action plans and other important work that is not exceptionally time-sensitive.

Choose Priority if a pending decision, deadline or business opportunity makes faster scheduling sufficiently valuable to warrant an increased cost, while recognizing that the single Top Priority client remains ahead of you.

Choose Top Priority if you face a genuinely high-stakes situation where the value of occupying the single highest-priority consulting position justifies the premium, and that position is available. The business importance of an assignment should be evaluated against the cost of the service rather than assuming the most expensive tier is automatically the best choice.

The Queue in One Sentence

Top Priority ready work is handled first; Priority ready work is handled First In / First Out ahead of Standard; Standard ready work is handled First In / First Out after both; and work already underway at a lower tier may be temporarily paused when higher-priority assignments become ready.

The Applicable Statement of Work Controls Your Engagement

This page explains the public consulting service levels and queue rules in plain English. It does not replace the applicable Statement of Work, which contains the governing terms concerning billing, retainer administration, scheduling, confidentiality, expenses, limitations and other engagement provisions.

Prospective Founder Slot clients should confirm their acceptance and the availability of the requested service level, then review and sign the applicable Statement of Work before submitting payment. Services begin only when the agreement and payment requirements have been satisfied; the signed agreement controls if its terms differ from this summary. Top Priority can be purchased only when the single active position is available.

If you need the Statement of Work, have questions about your proposed engagement or wish to confirm availability, contact me before paying. Any pre-existing client arrangement remains governed by its own agreement. Prices and terms can change at any time without notice.

Ready to Put Compound Knowledge™ to Work for Your Company?

Start with the FREE W³ Cubed™ Startup Action Plan Workbook and, if useful, reserve the still-unreleased AI Arsenal™ Lite package without obligation. If a mission-critical decision justifies independent executive judgment, inquire about an available Founder Slot and choose the consulting tier that matches the value of scheduling precedence to your company.

The Payment page explains current Standard, Priority and Top Priority options, prepaid retainer terms and payment methods. Acceptance and a signed Statement of Work are required before work begins. Confirm availability before paying, especially for Top Priority, which permits only one active client at a time.
