One Network Enterprises Introduces Markets first Demand Driven S&OP

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 27, 2012

One Network Enterprises (ONE), a leading provider of demand driven supply chain solutions in the cloud, is introducing the markets first multi-party Demand Driven Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Financial Planning and Executive Analytics solution.

Organizations having implemented S&OP today continue to struggle with the limitations or traditional software applications and business processes that do not effectively plan sales and operations across organizations within the enterprise and across their trading partners. To overcome these challenges, ONE is delivering a state-of-the-art demand-driven sales and operations planning (DDS&OP) solution, that aligns goals across the multi-party, multi-echelon value network to help organizations and their trading partners improve their financial plans, revenues, reduce operational costs, and effectively meet their customers needs.

ONEs demand-driven S&OP links S&OP plans to your multi-year strategic initiatives to account for the attainment of desired goals. Furthermore, it uses a single sales forecast at the forward most echelon to derive sales and marketing, distribution, production, procurement and financial plans. The single sales forecast can be shaped jointly with your partners providing a single version of the truth (SVOT) within the enterprise and across trading partners. Once the demand has been shaped and agreed upon the system generates order forecasts for each organization and each node in the multi-party, multi-echelon value network, including multi-tier raw material providers. Based on these orders forecasts, the system calculates distribution, transportation, production, and procurement plans, matches demand and supply, computes and bi-directionally propagates all capacity constraints, and synchronizes the plans for the entire network. ONEs real-time incremental planning and execution capability seamlessly puts the plans in action generating detailed, actionable short-term plans to the execution systems.

Most importantly, ONEs demand-driven S&OP delivers a Directional P&L that analyses profitability based on the revenue plans and operations plans for organization to fully understand the effect of their plans. The objective function of DDS&OP is to maximize the revenue and profit subject to the actionable operations plans for all parties in the value network.

“S&OP inherently is a multi-party, multi-echelon activity. Traditional systems can take months to compute and propagate plans across the value chain. One Networks DD S&OP solution does it in a matter of hours or days engaging seamlessly with all internal and external operations. One Network has proven repeatedly that increased business agility is the key to achieving impressive results,” said Greg Brady, One Networks CEO.

Gaining deeper insights and becoming demand-driven through ONEs DDS&OP enhances an organizations ability to effectively manage the complexities of the modern supply chain, offering a superior alternative to traditional systems.

A Complete Contents Insurance Quote Checklist

No matter whether you’re renting from the nicest person on earth or live with someone but don’t own the house, you need a contents insurance quote and make certain you’ve coverage on your belongings. The landlord’s insurance policy doesn’t insure your property and neither does your cohabitants’ insurance if you are living with someone. You need your own.

Choosing the right insurance at the best price can be very challenging. You should utilize a good checklist where you list every contents insurance quote and the benefits it provides. Additionally you need to understand each coverage item so that you know whether or not this fits your circumstances.

Contents Coverage-This will be the actual level of insurance coverage you actually carry and the ceiling the insurer pays if everything is lost in a fire or other disaster covered by the policy. The policies are called HO4 insurance policies and they cover 16 named perils.

1. Riot or Civil Commotion
2. Fire or lightning
3. Aircraft
4. Vehicles
5. Hail or windstorm
6. Smoke
7. Explosion
8. Vandalism or Malicious Mischief
9. Theft
10. Falling Objects
11. Volcanic Eruption
12. Weight of Ice, Snow, or Sleet
13. Sudden & Accidental, Cutting, Burning, Tearing Apart or Bulging
14. Accidental Overflow or Discharge of Water or Stream
15. Freezing
16. Power surges

Deductible-The deductible is what you have to pay out of your pocket per claim. The higher the deductible, the lower your insurance cost. Be sure to compare apples to apples when you get a contents insurance quote. Even though some company’s contents insurance quote might be lower, they also may have a higher deductible making it so you’re getting a lot less than the more costly policy.

Replacement Cost-If you have a disaster which wipes out all your belongings, the insurance adjuster depreciates the items. If you have a five-year-old $ 800 refrigerator, the adjuster uses the cost you paid and after that deducts an amount for every year in use. You could end up getting as little as $ 100 toward the overall claim. If you have replacement cost coverage on a policy, the adjustor applies the dollar amount it costs to replace the item at the time of the loss, not the price less depreciation. This makes a difference on the price for a contents insurance quote.

Scheduled Personal Property-Most policies have limits on coverage for several things such as furs, sporting equipment, jewelry, coin collections and art collections, to name a few. Should you own a really expensive item of jewelry or equipment, you’ll want to insure it to value by using a scheduled personal property rider. Be sure you include the various costs included in your contents insurance quote. You can also get a scheduled personal floater that raises the coverage for those who have many items, like a coin collection, of high value but no one coin over a specified amount.

Liability-Each policy includes a liability section, coverage in case someone sues you for injury at your house. Compare the amount when you’re getting a contents insurance quote.

Computer Insurance-If you love all the bells and whistles, you might want to consider including extra insurance on your computer equipment.

Business Riders-Home businesses face additional losses. If you’re business is in the fledgling stage or doesn’t have that much equipment or exposure, consider adding business merchandise coverage, incidental business liability or a home business rider and be sure to compare the price of the addition and coverage when you are getting a contents insurance quote.

Theft Coverage Protection Endorsement-Most policies limit the protection for theft. Add this rider to extend the limit. Note the amount of insurance coverage provided when you’re getting your quote.

Land and mine subsidence coverage, earthquake coverage, and sewer and drain back-up-These three additional insurance coverage riders aren’t for every purchaser. Land and mine subsidence coverage provides you with insurance should your home and contents slide down the side of a hill in a mud slide or disappears because the ground gave way from subterranean mining. Earthquake coverage and sewer and drain back up are self-explanatory.

Watercraft and Recreational Vehicle Endorsement- In case you keep a boat or Rv in your back yard, some companies provide coverage for them but others don’t and you need a rider. When you’re getting a contents insurance quote, make sure if it’s included or if you need a rider.

Before you start shopping for a contents insurance quote, you’ll want to estimate how much insurance you need. Although you may lose $ 20,000 worth of items in a fire, if you only have $ 15,000 worth of coverage, that’s all the insurer pays. Make a video of all of the items in your house and then make a list of the values. If you select replacement cost coverage, estimate the price of replacing an item not the amount you purchased it for. Once you have decided on a total sum, you’re ready to get a quote and your policy.

We now have more information on our web site about the coverages and options that are offered when looking for a contents insurance quote and details for finding cheap contents insurance rates. Feel free to stop by and visit us at any time.

“Crowd-sourcing Environmental Governance” workshop by Cesar Harada & Shannon Dosemagen.
2011 March 8 & 10, Design & Environment, Goldsmiths University of London.

Hello! Here is Cesar Harada and Shannon Dosemagen writing from the Gulf of Mexico, USA. We are thrilled to announce the upcoming hands-on workshop we’ll be having together in London : Come! And let’s ignite the discussion here.

ABSTRACT : Problem, Questions, Objectives
Each of us is not only witnessing, but actively participating in the degradation of our environment, our only life support system. The symptoms range from climate change, man made catastrophes, resource wars, resulting environmental refugees, etc. We are lacking a powerful environmental authority, a court of justice, and coordination in general. We have amazing earth science but poor individual education, international collateral treaties but no capacity to reinforce them. Governments and institutions are powerless to mitigate such complex and border-less issues. Can the solution emerge from the civil society? Can the people re-invent environmental governance with new technologies, collaborative medias, crowd sourcing, and mobile technologies? Do we need a central authority or can we generate decentralized, local, humble, bottom-up solutions? Can we design alternative services, products, technologies, infrastructures and behaviors as the new form of environmentalism. How can we go beyond activism and sustain long term positive change – what is your strategy?

WORKSHOP
Social Geometry, Architecture of play, Natural or Man-made Catastrophe, Humanitarian response to crisis, Crowd sourcing Environmental Governance. During 2 days, 10 students will be supervised by Cesar Harada (France – Japan) and Shannon Dosemagen (USA) at the Design & Environment department at the Goldsmith University, London. During the first half, they will experiment with social networks and how they can generate an operational organization and architecture. The students will be introduced to existing forms of environmental governance and cutting edge design and activism. During the second half, groups of students will elaborate their own designs in the area of their interest. Workshop leaders will help them model-building ideas that are creative, local, replicable and scalable. The workshop is aimed at starting a discussion, to encourage the students to take action in the “real world” and have short-term local experiments to learn from.

THE PEOPLE : Students, Workshop leaders
The workshop for the Design & Environment students from Goldsmiths University will require the students to venture their thinking into diverse fields : architecture, law, economy, politics, environmental engineering, anthropology, computer science, social media etc. The groups projects are expected to be diverse and exploratory. Cesar Harada has a background in Design Interactions at the Royal College of Art, won the Ars Electronica Golden Nica [NEXT IDEA] with the Open_Sailing project, worked as project leader and researcher at MIT, and is coordinating the making of the WEA (World Environment Action) website started in *iHub_ Nairobi, Kenya. Cesar is currently coordinating the development of Protei : an oil cleaning open hardware robot.

Shannon Dosemagen has a background in Anthropology from the University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Shannon is the coordinator of the Oil Spill Map at LA Bucket Brigade, mapping the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico, using Ushahidi, a software allowing people to report by SMS, twitter, mail, on the acclaimed website oilspill.labucketbrigade.org. Shannon has also been piloting the aerial mapping of the Oil Spill by communities as part of the Public Laboratory group. Shannon has extensive community, field and teaching experience, interested in social implications of environmental events, and environmental refugees in particular.

DAY 1 : March 8th
Morning : Oil Spill mapping, World Environmental Action. Environmental governance and cutting edge activism. Groups brainstorming.
Afternoon : Social networks and Architecture of Play (choreography, construction)

DAY 2 : March 10th
Morning : Design. Theory in practice.
Afternoon : Thinking by doing.
Evening : Presentation of project ideas.

Discussion
We would like to start asking questions to open up the discussion, please comment below and ask more questions – we’ll answer in line 🙂
1>> When you think about environmentalism, what comes first to your mind? Is it the little actions like recycling / the activist social group / the green ‘leaders’ / green designs and brands / the materials we use / scientific research / global warming / your own body / your children / the philosophical current / something else? Which action has the strongest and longest lasting impact? Can you make a personal numbered list below here, in the comments?

2>> When you think about environmental politics, what comes first to your mind? How do you feel about the current relation between the environment and politics today? How does it affect the majority of peoples life?

3>> As a designer what do you think is your role about environmental issues?

Feel free to contact us before and after the workshop : contact {at} cesarharada {dot} com _ shannon {at} publiclaboratory {dot} org. Looking forward to meet you all! Cesar and Shannon.
