Template Monster Introduces New Designs for Blogosphere

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) April 16, 2006

Template Monster, the largest website template provider on the Web, has started producing themes for WordPress the #1 open source blogging platform available today.

The new Template Monster themes are optimized for the latest 2.0.2 release of WordPress. Template Monster plans to enhance its WordPress themes in the future by adding sample AdSense blocks designed to match a particular theme to make it easier for bloggers to profit from their blogs.

We use WordPress for our corporate blog and liked WordPress software so much that we contributed five free themes to the WordPress community earlier this year, says David Braun, CEO of Template Monster. The free themes got great feedback and we have received many requests for new WordPress themes. That is why we decided to start a new product line. We are excited about this product as WordPress is a really great blogging platform and we see lots of opportunities where we can add value to it.

“We’re excited that TemplateMonster will be offering their professionally designed web site templates to the WordPress community. says Toni Schneider, CEO of Automattic, the parent company for WordPress. WordPress makes it easy for designers to create custom UI templates and for bloggers to integrate those templates into their blogs. TemplateMonster’s free sample templates have been well received by WordPress users and we look forward to working with TemplateMonster on the new template lines.

Industry's First Virtual Insurance Tradeshow Live Again In February 2012

Fairfield, CA (PRWEB) December 02, 2011

The 2012 Virtual Insurance Marketplace is the second offering from Direct Connection Advertising & Marketing, LLC, an agency specializing in insurance marketing services. The 2012 VIM promises industry leading sponsors, more interactivity, better accessibility, and an overall more diverse group than the 2010 show.

A virtual tradeshow experience is largely unfamiliar to many insurance professionals. The Virtual Insurance Marketplace seeks to change that while offering outstanding networking possibilities and a variety of means by which companies can share their products and services, all of which are reported on during and after the show to each exhibitor and sponsor. This real-time data is invaluable for marketing follow up and research.

President and founder of Direct Connection, Anita Nevins delights in the prospects afforded attendees and exhibitors in the upcoming show. We are very excited about the 2012 Virtual Insurance Marketplace. Having one under our belt, we know where to focus our energy. We realize that many in our industry have yet to experience a virtual tradeshow. To that end, we will offer several sneak peak free webinars for attendees, to walk them through the navigation and highlight the opportunities for them to make the most of the show. A more diverse group and larger selection of exhibitors will offer more opportunities while keynote speakers presentations will provide for a rich educational experience.

Sponsors are gearing up for the show as well, and many recognizable names have signed on for next years Virtual Insurance Marketplace. Participants are sure to experience networking opportunities and exposure to knowledgeable people at great companies.

A virtual tradeshow allows exhibitors to showcase their offerings through video, slideshows, presentations, and documents. Brandt Minnich, Vice President of Marketing for Mercury Insurance Group, is looking forward to networking while presenting their products and services in this unique forum. Mercury Insurance Group is excited to be a participant in the Virtual Tradeshow being held in February 2012, Minnich states. We are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to begin a dialogue with prospective and existing agents, in a convenient environment where our marketing staff can articulate Mercurys commitment to the independent agent channel and share information about the products and services we offer.

The VIM is an ideal way for insurance businesses to save money on costly arrangements so common to participating in a traditional tradeshow, such as travel expenses. Melissa-Anne Duncan, Director of Development and Partner Relations for the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, understands the savings and other opportunities the show offers.

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation is excited to share our mission of helping communities and enriching lives with our industrys independent agents, Duncan reports. The Virtual Insurance Marketplace is an innovative concept that offers a cost-effective means of sharing information and bringing the industry together. We eagerly look forward to participating.

Perhaps one of the biggest advantages to the virtual tradeshow in general and the VIM specifically is the convenience it offers to insurance entities. Hank Haldeman, EVP of the Sullivan Group, recognizes the importance of this fact to sponsors: At the Sullivan Group, as wholesalers and underwriting managers, we are intrigued by the opportunity to have real-time interaction with our retail clientsand prospective clientsfrom points far and near, in an environment where our brokers and underwriters can bring many of the tools supporting our value proposition immediately into the discussion through electronic means … all while sitting at our own desks!

The upcoming Virtual Insurance Marketplace will take place on February 810, 2012. We are actively seeking attendees, exhibitors, and speakers for the Virtual Insurance Marketplace. Visit http://www.webdcmarketing.com, contact Anita Nevins via email at anita(at)webdcmarketing.com, or call (707) 429-0877 to learn more. Registration for the Virtual Insurance Marketplace is free for retail insurance agents and brokers.

How to Start a Consulting Business

Article by Sandra Stammberger

Today, a lot of companies hire consultants and professionals outside their company in order to get their company to be more efficient and increase productivity. The fact that many companies pay thousands and even millions of dollars on hiring consultants, starting a consulting business is definitely a very attractive idea.

However, you have to remember that not all consulting businesses have been successful. It is important that you should know about the basics on starting a consulting business in order for you to be successful and make a lot of money.

The first thing you have to remember when starting a consulting business is by knowing what field you want to get in to or what specialty you should concentrate on. This all depends on the type of skill and knowledge you have. If you are good at computers, you may want to try starting a computer consulting business. If you are an expert in running businesses, you may want to try starting as a business consultant.

You have to remember that being a consultant can be very demanding. You will be the one who will give professional advice or services to the person or company who hired you and it should better work in order for you to build your reputation. Always remember that reputation is what it is all about in the consulting business. If you made several companies increase productivity and minimized expenses, then you will definitely have a good reputation and people will recommend you to other companies or entrepreneurs as an effective consultant.

In order to start a consulting business, you have to first choose your legal structure. By having a legal structure, you will be able to tell the person or the company who hired you regarding your business structure or what you want in order to get your services. The three kinds of legal structure are sole proprietorship where you are an independent consultant, partnership where two or more consultants are running your consulting business, and corporations.

If you are just starting up, you may want to try setting up a sole proprietorship legal structure. This is the easiest way to start a business and will also be good for your reputation. However, it is important to remember that anything wrong you do will make you personally liable for any legal issues incurred by your business.

Just like all other businesses, setting up a business plan is essential. Here, you will be able to clearly see what kind of people or company you want to target and you will also have all your business strategies lined up.

Lastly, you will need to set up an office. If you are just starting out, try making your home your office. With a computer with an active internet connection, you will be ready to go. Try getting a website ready and if your consulting business is a type of business that requires equipments, try getting a free room in your home to store all your equipments.

These are the things that you need to know on how you should start a consulting business. Just remember that this kind of business may not work for you when you are just starting up. However, when you do build your reputation and obtain several satisfied customers, you will see that you will be able to make a lot of money out of a consulting business. Just remember that it’s all about marketing and reputation.

Home Business Ideas For 2011

Article by Bob Gill

The existence of the Internet makes it very convenient to search for home business ideas for 2011, whereas in the past we were limited to off line resources only for ideas. With the current economic situation making it difficult for large numbers of people to make ends meet, the Internet offers a huge resource for potential and existing home business owners to tap.

Online home business ideas may mean seeking ways to enhance an existing online website for many people. Search engine site optimization (SEO) or re-designing your site may be necessary in order to keep up with ongoing Internet trends, for example, or to bring more traffic to your site.

In evaluating trends for 2011, we need to consider the development of the Internet over the last 10 years. In the beginning, it was enough to become skilled at link building to gain a place on the first page of Google with your home business site. Then we found that keyword research had to be relied on to maintain our search engine position and to beat out competitors.

Today, Google has competition from the likes of Yahoo and Bing and, most certainly, from social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Social media sites in particular continue to demonstrate that social interaction is being demanded by people on a very large scale. The social media scenario, then, is showing marketers that there is no better way to market your business.

A boom is certainly happening on the social networking scene. In a survey by Gigya, Facebook is said to drive 44% of people to social sharing; Twitter drives 29%. Yahoo and MySpace drive just 18% and 9% respectively. The traffic to these social networks is created through users sharing links, photos and videos.

In early January 2011 Facebook alone struck 600 million users worldwide – a staggering amount. The prediction is that Facebook will have 1 billion users by 2012. Such, then, is the power of social networking.

Let’s not forget Youtube. After just 5 years online, YouTube has achieved an enviable 2 billion views daily. For those Internet marketers who have neglected YouTube to market their business to date, you have no excuse in not using video as part of your marketing strategy for your home business as this medium continues to explode.

Mobile marketing took off rapidly in 2010 and the trend will surely continue in 2011. More and more businesses are using smart-phones and tablets as part of their business operations. A recent report predicts that there will be over 10 billion mobile units, including iPads and tablet PC’s, in this decade.

The Financial Times reports that according to Enders Analysis, the U.K. spending on mobile phone advertising is likely to increase from $ 71 million to more than $ 600 million by 2015, boosted by the ongoing popularity of smart-phones. The report further advises that mobile advertising could be 4% of total online advertising this year and over 9% by 2015.

With the advertising and home business opportunities available, then, through the likes of social networking, YouTube and mobile marketing, we have huge resources at our disposal to tap for home business ideas for 2011.
