The supply chain leaders identified and debated the following catalysts for business growth:

Landaal Packaging Systems and The BoxMaker Inc. Align to Bring Patented POPTECH Displays to the Pacific Northwest

Burton, Michigan (PRWEB) January 04, 2012

Landaal Packaging Systems and The BoxMaker Inc. align to bring patented POPTECH displays to the Pacific Northwest.

Until now, all domestic manufacturing for the patented POPTECH automatic assembly displays was done in the state of Michigan. Today Landaal Packaging Systems, the owner of the patented technology within the United States, has teamed with alliance partner, The BoxMaker Inc., to expand manufacturing to the Pacific Northwest.

The BoxMaker Inc. is a Washington-based manufacturer with several distribution sites throughout the Pacific Northwest region. In addition to custom corrugated, The BoxMaker Inc. provides design services, labels, fabricated foam and a variety of packaging supplies.

As we expand the footprint for the POPTECH display brand, it was important for us to find a partner with a strong history of quality and service says Terry Choate, the Sales and Operations Planning Manager for Landaal Packaging Systems. The BoxMaker Inc. fits that mold perfectly added Choate. They are a privately held company with a strong focus on providing value to their customer base.

Richard Brown, Vice President of The BoxMaker Inc., shared, The patented POPTECH display system is a value added offering for our market. Feedback from the customer base is very positive and POPTECH’s increase in sell-through percentages is creating excitement and positive buzz about the benefits in the retail point-of-purchase marketplace”.

Our goal is to increase our presence in graphic corrugated, says Jennifer Pruss, Business Development Manager for the The BoxMaker Inc. By teaming with Landaal and offering the POPTECH branded displays, we have taken a big step in accomplishing this goal, says Pruss.

Poptech patented technology allows for signs, merchandisers, tiltbacks, step displays and many other point of purchase displays to be assembled at the retailer in seconds. One large value for the CPG manufacturers is that they can streamline their production process and eliminate separate pack-out stations, in some instances. The value for the retailer is no added labor at the store level. Both levels of business enjoy a lowered overall freight due to a smaller footprint for the product.

Landaal Packaging Systems is an industry leader in corrugated, point of purchase displays, contract packaging, sustainable products and fulfillment services. The company recently invested in the patented POPTECH technology, which allows them to offer the quickest assembly time on the market.

One Network Enterprises Introduces Markets first Demand Driven S&OP

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 27, 2012

One Network Enterprises (ONE), a leading provider of demand driven supply chain solutions in the cloud, is introducing the markets first multi-party Demand Driven Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Financial Planning and Executive Analytics solution.

Organizations having implemented S&OP today continue to struggle with the limitations or traditional software applications and business processes that do not effectively plan sales and operations across organizations within the enterprise and across their trading partners. To overcome these challenges, ONE is delivering a state-of-the-art demand-driven sales and operations planning (DDS&OP) solution, that aligns goals across the multi-party, multi-echelon value network to help organizations and their trading partners improve their financial plans, revenues, reduce operational costs, and effectively meet their customers needs.

ONEs demand-driven S&OP links S&OP plans to your multi-year strategic initiatives to account for the attainment of desired goals. Furthermore, it uses a single sales forecast at the forward most echelon to derive sales and marketing, distribution, production, procurement and financial plans. The single sales forecast can be shaped jointly with your partners providing a single version of the truth (SVOT) within the enterprise and across trading partners. Once the demand has been shaped and agreed upon the system generates order forecasts for each organization and each node in the multi-party, multi-echelon value network, including multi-tier raw material providers. Based on these orders forecasts, the system calculates distribution, transportation, production, and procurement plans, matches demand and supply, computes and bi-directionally propagates all capacity constraints, and synchronizes the plans for the entire network. ONEs real-time incremental planning and execution capability seamlessly puts the plans in action generating detailed, actionable short-term plans to the execution systems.

Most importantly, ONEs demand-driven S&OP delivers a Directional P&L that analyses profitability based on the revenue plans and operations plans for organization to fully understand the effect of their plans. The objective function of DDS&OP is to maximize the revenue and profit subject to the actionable operations plans for all parties in the value network.

“S&OP inherently is a multi-party, multi-echelon activity. Traditional systems can take months to compute and propagate plans across the value chain. One Networks DD S&OP solution does it in a matter of hours or days engaging seamlessly with all internal and external operations. One Network has proven repeatedly that increased business agility is the key to achieving impressive results,” said Greg Brady, One Networks CEO.

Gaining deeper insights and becoming demand-driven through ONEs DDS&OP enhances an organizations ability to effectively manage the complexities of the modern supply chain, offering a superior alternative to traditional systems.

New White Paper – How to Leverage Longer Planning Horizons in Sales and Operations Planning / Integrated Business Planning

New London, NH (PRWEB) February 24, 2012

Oliver Wight Americas, Inc. has released its newest white paper, How to Leverage Longer Planning Horizons in Sales and Operations Planning / Integrated Business Planning.

George Palmatier and Colleen Crum, Oliver Wight principals with decades of practitioner experience, share their insights into improving Sales and Operations (S&OP) Planning and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) by applying a rolling planning horizon of 24 months or longer.

The authors contrast S&OP backward-looking reporting and analysis with the dynamic advantages of IBP, which applies decision-supporting orientation based on future-focused scenario planning. Palmatier and Crum provide an executive overview of IBP and then outline why moving to a longer planning horizon is a natural step when transitioning from S&OP to IBP.

The paper explains how implementing longer planning horizons with IBP more effectively integrates operational and financial management. Palmatier and Crum detail why longer planning horizons with IBP provide greater visibility and early identification of gaps between the annual bottom-up plan and top-down strategic goals. This vital data empowers the leadership team to take timely action to close the gaps and more easily adapt within a volatile global economy.
