Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 13, 2013

On December 12, 2013, co-hosts Lee Kantor and Stone Payton of BusinessRadioX®’s Atlanta Business Radio welcomed to the studio the co-founders of GROUNDFLOOR, Brian Dally and Nick Bhargava.

GROUNDFLOOR is a real estate crowdfunding startup that is revolutionizing the financing of real estate development projects, to the benefit of developers, savers and investors. Based in the North Carolina Triangle, GROUNDFLOOR champions democracy, transparency, speed, efficiency and freedom as the path to building a new kind of finance. The innovative GROUNDFLOOR platform reduces dependence upon large financial institutions and accredited investors, while making direct real estate investing a viable addition to any savings and investment portfolio.

In November of this year, GROUNDFLOOR announced its launch into the Atlanta market with the opening of its pilot development project in Midtown. According to Brian Dally, co-founder of GROUNDFLOOR, “We are taking advantage of Georgia’s innovative securities laws and the Invest Georgia Exemption to make real estate investing accessible to all, regardless of net worth or income.”

As CEO, Dally is responsible for marketing as well as setting long term direction and goals for the company. Dally has 15 years of disruptive technology startup experience in Silicon Valley, Boston, London and the North Carolina Triangle region.

Co-founder Nick Bhargava leads product development and is responsible for regulatory strategy. Explained Bhargava, “Our first product is a tested and true type of savings vehicle with a new and important twist, available to anyone with $ 100 to lend.”

GROUNDFLOOR’s pilot project seeks to raise a total of $ 300,000 to fund two loans that will be used to refinance, renovate and lease a Midtown Atlanta residential development and will be secured by the property until repaid with interest within a one-year term. Throughout the life of the loans, investors will have access to confidential reports from the borrower on milestone achievements including construction progress and leasing performance.
