Michael Maloney's Marble Machine
This Machine was an entry in the Young Engineer Competition for higher level engineering (Secondary/High School-Final year). It reached the top ten in ireland but was unfortunately damaged on transport by courier to the final held in donegal on the 12th November 2005.

the brief stated u needed two proximity sensors too signal the arrival of each marble into each destination…. so they conduct off the aluminum and send the signal too the control hub…
